Orlando Vacation 2007
Monday 10/08/07 The Magic Kingdom
Today started with a bright early phone call in the Butler suite. 7 am (which I remind
you I rarely see when not on vacation anyways) the hotel calls for a wake up call that
Charlie set up to remind us of our 1 1/2 hour breakfast with the time share sales
team. I didn't really think we would go so when the call came I just hung up the
phone. Little did I know that they would call back; this time waking up Sara. Also,
little did I know that the luxury master suite with the King size bed and super huge
pool size bubble jet tub, did not have the 1970's style ring your head till it hurts wake
up the baby type phone!
So here we are having breakfast with LaShaunda (from New York) in the play room!
They weren't krispy kreme but the donuts made the kids happy. She was explaining
how brilliant it is to buy 1 week of vacation for $28,900. plus low annual fees that
have no cap of $800 a year. Hey but you can write the$117 of real estate taxes off on
your annual return! Our $2 offer was quickly rejected. Either way the kids enjoyed
playing and we had "breakfast". So we each took our $50 dollars and our $3 per day
discounted Disney tickets and headed for the Magic Kingdom.
Oh the excitement! We drove the cars, flew on Dumbo, experienced the small world,
flew with Peter Pan, crashed down splash mountain, the PhilharMagic 3D movie,
Swiss Family Robinsons invited us to their tree house, Carousel, went to Mickey and
Minnie's house, we were thrown out of line at Goofy's Barnstorming roller coaster(it
broke down)! Watched the parade! Oh yeah, we were standing rope side near
Disney worker Alan, I'm assuming they took one look at Charlie and then they offered
us to watch the parade in the shaded seated area of the Make A Wish section. Very
nice section!
Everybody did great! No breakdowns for the kids!
Zachs low of the day: Wee Wee smashed with toilet seat! OUCH!
Mary Ann's best memory of the day:
Mary Ann loved its a smallworld (Charlie seems to think its because there were
people her same size)
Marcy's best memory of the day:
Watching Lindsay watch the parade!
Charlie's best memory of the day:
Lindsay's first glimpse of the castle! Watching Zach get wacked in the back of the
head by all the turn-styles.
Rob's best memory of the day:
Drew's face going down Splash Mountain!
